The Wedding of Mr. Robert Keith III and Ms. Amber Kitchens
In the picturesque town of Seagoville, Texas, a momentous occasion unfolded on this past crisp Saturday night, November 11th. The esteemed Mesquite Police Department’s own Robert Dudley Keith III, a valiant officer dedicated to upholding justice, joined hands in matrimony with the enchanting Amber Kitchens. Victoria, Amber’s beautiful daughter, attended Amber as her maid of honor during the ceremony. Their union, a testament to love and commitment, graced the pages of a story that will be retold for generations to come.

Underneath the twinkling stars, amidst the serene setting of an outdoor garden, a police Chaplain officiated the sacred ceremony. The air was filled with an aura of harmony and unity, as family and friends gathered to witness the exchange of vows. The love between these two remarkable individuals radiated, leaving an indelible impression on everyone in attendance.
In the illustrious company of his proud parents, Robert Keith Jr. and Lauri Ward Keith, the groom stood tall, embodying the strength and honor of his lineage. Accompanying them were Robert’s adoring sisters and their families, each contributing to the jubilant atmosphere. Mandi Vogel and her husband, Dustin Vogel, were accompanied by their delightful daughters, Ella and Helen, adding an enchanting touch to the festivities. Aleigh Pryor, accompanied by her husband Chance Pryor and their son Cavan, brought an extra dose of familial love and warmth to the celebration.

Amber’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Martin, graced the occasion with their presence, their hearts brimming with pride and joy. A select group of approximately 50 treasured guests gathered, further enhancing the sense of intimacy and exclusivity surrounding this momentous occasion.
Following the heartfelt ceremony, a reception unfolded, where toasts and roasts reverberated through the air. As the guests indulged in delectable fajitas, the outdoor space was filled with contagious laughter and animated conversations, creating an atmosphere of sheer bliss. Amidst the revelry, the newlyweds, Robert and Amber, basked in the love and support that enveloped them.
This unforgettable wedding celebration, a harmonious blend of love, laughter, and gastronomic delights, will be etched in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to be present. Robert and Amber’s union, sealed on that enchanting night, serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration, reminding us all of the extraordinary power of love and the joy of unity.

Originally, the above wedding was intended to take place on the charming family farm in Purdon, Texas, where the groom’s parents reside. However, a hurdle emerged just a day before the much-anticipated celebration. A troublesome water problem reared its head, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the festivities. The groom’s father, Robert Jr., promptly contacted the water department, who promptly arrived to assess the situation. To their dismay, it was determined that the water break occurred on the home side of the meter, a staggering 800 feet away from the house and the designated wedding site.
The search for the elusive water break commenced, with Robert and Chance tirelessly scouring the property throughout the cold and muddy night. Despite their best efforts, the break remained elusive and undetectable. In a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, they resorted to purchasing piping to bypass the unidentified break. Alas, this solution proved futile, leaving them at a loss. With no water in sight and the imminent arrival of over 100 guests scheduled for 4 pm on Saturday, a decision needed to be made.
In the midst of this whirlwind, Robert’s two brothers-in-law took charge, stringing wire lights and assembling a dance floor between the serene lake and the house. It was a true family affair, with sisters and their husbands working tirelessly to transform the new venue into a wedding wonderland. Brother-in-law Dustin assumed the important duty of grilling chicken for the delectable fajitas, while Grandma Lauri lovingly cared for the three lively grandkids. And to ensure harmony in the midst of the chaos, Cubie Sr. was kindly tasked with staying out of everyone’s way.
Saturday morning saw the return of the water company, determined to assist in resolving the crisis. The search persisted until noon, with the clock ticking and the prospect of hosting 100 guests without water increased the impracticality of a wedding in that venue. Ultimately, a difficult choice had to be made: either postpone the wedding or find an alternative venue. It was then that the steadfast bride, Amber, declared that the wedding would not be delayed. Thus, the decision was made to shift the venue to Seagoville, specifically the home of Amber’s sister.
Amidst the challenges and unexpected turns, love prevailed, and the resilience of this remarkable family shone through. Their unwavering determination and tireless efforts in the face of adversity transformed an unforeseen obstacle into an opportunity for a unique and unforgettable celebration. Congratulations to Mr. And Mrs. Robert Keith.
